Saturday, November 8th, Fiesta Key RV Park

Inner Lagoon
As we were only doing 70 miles today we took our time leaving Miami Everglades in an effort to avoid any Miami traffic, it worked.  We arrived at Fiesta Key RV Park that is at mile marker 70 (70 miles from Key West).  By the shape of the office, it is obvious that this was a KOA at one time.  It took almost an hour to check in!!  The computer system was so slow and there were two people in front of us.  What seemed like a million keystrokes and mouse button pushes later we were off to find our campsite.  Site not long enough, hmmmm – we walked back to the office.  We were then told to go and pick one out and then come back to the office to let them know which one we took.  They could not tell us which ones were booked without searching each individual campsite – hmmm.  We found our spot, parked and here we are!!  This RV park has seen better days, it is going through major renovations which it definitely needs.  If we were coming back to the Keys we would choose another park, we have heard good things about Jolly Rodger (about 20 miles south).  But can’t really complain at $23.00 per night!!
Back from an evening Paddle

There were very nice Gulf views all around the park.

We relaxed for the rest of the day.  There were some rain showers around here and there, but nice and warm.
